What is L.E.A.D?
Is a full day workshop that will give you an understanding of how trauma affects your brain and physical responses. You will learn how and why, you respond the way you do. In the workshop you will learn strategies for managing these symptoms, such as anxiety and depression .
The Workshop
The workshop is a full day of learning and understanding how trauma affects our physical and mental health.The workshop helps you better understand yourself, your mental health, and how to improve your overall wellbeing.
During the day you will learn about how adverse life events, effect you physically and mentally. Adverse life events can be any event that has disrupted your daily life and caused substantial change and adjustment. Such events can be divorce, family violence, death, illness or injury, or a loss of something or someone important to you and a history of childhood abuse and neglect, for example. From your experience your body has learnt to react in certain ways. During the L.E.A.D workshop you will learn skills to help manage your body's responses, and your overall mental health and wellness.
During the day you will gain skills to build on your support system and have strategies to mange your reactions and feelings.
The day is interactive and fun learning. You will walk away a better understanding of yourself and practical skills you can do at home to maintain your wellbeing and mental health.
